Superb effort and attitude from the Year 7 football team winning 4:1 against Skegness Academy, goals from Saunders x2, Pell and Large.

Grit and hard work in the Netball but sadly resulted in a loss.

Football results! JSTC vs QEGs Horncastle.
Mixed results but superb effort and attitudes.
Year 9 boys showed grit and hard-work but lost 8:0 to a very strong Horncastle Grammar school team.
Year 7 boys showed great teamwork and communication and won 2:3.

As an end of term treat, JSTC Spanish Club enjoyed 'una peli con palomitas'. Students decorated their own popcorn carton and munched away, while watching a film. Thanks to Mrs Daykin for providing these opportunities for our keen linguists.

Some of our lovely Y7s have created their very own craft club in the school library. This week they are trying ‘finger knitting’ using their own resources. Tomorrow, it’s Valentine’s hearts ❤️

This week, all students have been participating in activities about Mental Health, this has been through resources provided by KOOTH and our internal support. We are also encouarging students to use the new app LUMI NOVA which is free to all Lincolnshire schools.

This term Year 7’s and Year 9’s have actively participated in workshops run by the Staysafe Partnership Team covering Healthy Relationships, Internet Safety, Knife Crime, Cyber Stalking, Drug Awareness, Fire Safety, Road Safety, Anti-Social Behaviour and Gangs.

Last week Year 8 students participated in a STEM day with the Navy, combining their Maths, Science, engineering and communication skills to create rockets. Massive thank you to the Navy for such a great experience. #crosscurricularlearning #aspirations #careers

The Y10 Progress Team and Mr Robson (Careers Advisor) will be available to chat to.

At 6pm there will be short talks in the Main Hall.

On Friday JSTC's 33 strong choir had an amazing day out at Young Voices in Sheffield! They sang with over 4000 other school students to make the world's largest school choir! Celebrity performers included MC Grammar, Tommy Blaize, Souparnika Nair and Urban Strides. Well, done to all our performers!

A very cold race yesterday at the Lincolnshire Schools Cross Country Championships! 🥶❄️🏃‍♂️
Owen had a great race in the Year 7 boys competition, and Kalvin raced in the Junior Boys, has qualified Anglian School Cross Country Championships in Suffolk next month. Well done to both of you!

This afternoon we had our official opening of or reflection garden and memory of staff members who are sadly no longer with We were honoured to have members of Paul Bishell’s family in attendance, and Paul’s mum cut the ribbon to declare the garden as officially open.
