In Canada we have a telecom duopoly pretty much, and what doesn't make sense to me is that the subreddits for at least one of them is full of fanboys and defenders.

Wayland kinda pisses me off. People talk about how Linux is so open and let's you do anything and doesn't get in your way. Well have you tried remote desktop unattended access with Wayland?
Kinda wild how I'm unable to RELIABLY access my Linux servers remotely because Wayland doesn't let me.

I think my favourite thing about Linux is how dev friendly it is.
I was playing a game that required me to press space bar constantly to do an action, so I wrote a python script, launched it, and off we went.
Of course this works on Windows, but setting up python is more steps and can be finicky.

I think the best part of Hytale is how insanely quick it loads up. Minecraft hasn't loaded this quickly since.. well.. since Notch was still the lead developer lol.

I just spent 15 minutes wondering why my code wasn't working. Read it over multiple times, re-wrote it, and even resorted to asking AI (which I am SUPER against, but was so damn confused) and AI even confirmed it was all perfect code.
I figured out the problem. I was modifying a different copy. 🤦🏻♀️

One thing that annoys me is how GIANTS treats their dedicated server software. To host a server and play, you need to own two copies of the game including all DLC.
It's such a slap in the face and makes things so much harder. Just give us the dedicated server free.

So I finally had time to test these extensively and my findings were;
StreamController works okayish, but the plugin store isn't the same as the official Elgato plugin store so it's missing a LOT.
Affinity runs okayish through Lutris, horrible via Bottles, though.
Celeste is not great.

Turns out Windows 11 search isn't bad. It's just bogged down by Edge.
After I reinstalled Windows and set my region as an EU country, I could officially uninstall Edge and Windows search became instantaneous. Fuck Microsoft.
