The layoffs today give me the most sickening sense of deja vu. Leadership thinking fast, overzealous expansion means instant and equivalent gains only leads to the people on the ground paying the price for poor decisions by executives who laugh all the way to the bank.

Perhaps the greatest thing about Death Stranding 2 is the game is so chill (usually), that I can have a cat lump in my lap and lose absolutely none of my ability to play the game at its highest level. That is, holding the right stick forward.

Me out here hoping my Switch 2 arrives safe and sound tomorrow. Hearing some horror stories that don’t involve staples. Pls no

In response to the Polygon and Giant Bomb news, I created an indie and worker-owned games media starter pack.

I’ll keep adding to it, so suggestions and recommendations are greatly appreciated. Please share!

Get your cat a heating mat. It's a place where they'll be sat, and where to give their head a pat. Only worry if it makes them fat. Then get them on a diet stat.

Hey everyone!

The industry is on fire right now, and given that I have a number of interviews / reviews / guides I'm working on that have no home.

If you are an editor seeking pitches for some upcoming games, please slide in the DMs. I'll let you in on my secrets.

xoxo

RTs welcome.

As much as I'm...muted on Marathon's art style, I'm all for studios mashing a bunch of previous ideas up (hero shooting, team play) with something they've spent a long time working on (buildcrafting). Bungie has a mixed history with this sort of thing, but I'm optimistic, perhaps to my detriment.

If the Bloodborne deal with Sony is any indication, #Duskbloods probably won't ever leave the Nintendo ecosystem, making FromSoftware's latest a system seller.

Same playbook, same ENGINE, but I know for a fact it'll push anyone interested in From's work to get S2.

Thanks, I hate it, but more pls.

Seeing all the love for Assassin's Creed Shadows is making me super excited to cover it come launch. I wish I could have been part of this early coverage, but I'm starting on the ground floor PR-wise. That's hopefully gonna change this year! And even if it doesn't, I love what I do.

Monster Hunter Wilds has that weird ability to make me JUST invested enough in the gameplay I keep going after the story. Usually, after finishing a 10+ hour narrative, I'm quite satisfied and stop, even in a huge open world.

Now, I only want to fight Tempered Arkveld for the thousandth time.

Hey folks! My buds over at LTRT and I will be raising money for Trans Lifeline this weekend during our annual 24 hour stream. Streaming 24 of our favorite games from 2024. We will be awake and streaming in the middle of daylight savings, so that's going to be chaos. Tune in! Support if ya can!

Monster Hunter Wilds is a hybrid of World and Rise more than it is a daring sequel, but it's still a damn good Monster Hunter.

'Monster Hunter Wilds' Is A Colossally Fun Game Whose World Could Be Better
'Monster Hunter Wilds' blends aspects from 'Rise' and "World' but remains inaccessible and without the depth that Capcom has advertised
