My favorite advice for blogging remains that you should hit publish while you are still actively unhappy with what you have written, because the only alternative is a huge folder full of drafts and never publishing anything at all

An excellent description of what it costs to *keep* code, not delete it, especially when you use/need tokens for further development.

I could say the same about management rules/bureaucracy.

Thanks for the words I needed, @chadfowler.com.

We’ve nudged the launch back one week—on purpose.

If you’re planning to peek at Once and Future Hearts, hitting Notify Me On Launch helps the campaign reach more readers.

I have a collection of Christmas stories called YULETIDE THRILLS. Starts light and gets dark. I tell everyone else to start at the beginning and stop when it gets too dark, but y'all should start at the end and stop when it gets too light.

A significant insight from @adrianhoward.com adrianhoward.com/posts/track-...

Interruptions tell you where you, as a formal or informal leader, might make your team dependent on you.

Thank you, Adrian! (I looked for this to boost it but did not find it.)
Don't Track Tasks. Track Interruptions.
TL;DR: Instead of tracking your time, try tracking the interruptions instead.

Just had to block the guy whining that it was impossible for any indie author to POSSIBLY make a living from books alone, then demanding that I would have to upload my corporate tax statement and everything else to prove him wrong.

My last day of work in an office was Feb 24, 2018.

All books.
