I'm convinced people who voted for him who say "Biden had dementia" or "Kamala doesn't make sense" have TRULY never listened to a full, UNEDITED Trump speech in good faith.

Let's just take the thing everyone universally loves, the car dealership experience, and make healthcare like that. The J is for Jenius!
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

SOMONE BOUGHT A GM EV1! I REPEAT! SOMEONE BOUGHT A GM EV1! This is NOT a drill! I don't know how this thing showed up at a Georgia impound auction, but someone just stole this car for $104,000. Find another one at ANY price.

The Most Forbidden GM Car Of All Time Shows Up At A Georgia Impound Auction
GM crushed nearly all the EV1 electric cars in the early 2000s, but this one just sold for $104,000.

I think Sean Duffy should try driving into the center of Manhattan for five days straight and see if he still hates public transportation.
Sean Duffy: "If you're a Democrat, you're a liberal, you don't like cars and you want people to ride public transportation, I think that's wonderful, good for you. But if you want us all to ride public transportation, make it safe. Make it clean. Make is beautiful. I don't know why NY can't do that"

Oh, hey Republican Senator Bernie Moreno... NOW you are pro tax credits that help move production to the US? But when it was for EVs you called it "catastrophically stupid" and "let the marketplace work; stop the madness of government intervention." Are you a hypocrite?

Chevrolet revealed a new Bolt EV. That's more information than you will learn from the company's media site. I know they all want to copy Tesla, but I thought they wanted the sales, not the lack of PR communication. Anyway, here is an old teaser image.

No one: You know what we need right now?
Everyone: Healthcare? Public transportation? Rights?
No one: What? Eww, no. ANOTHER DOPE ASS HYPERCAR!

This little Nissan Leaf is $40,000. You can get the cheapest one for $29,990 and there is an even cheaper one coming. It has an electrochromic glass roof. What the heck else do I need? And it’s TEAL with blue seats!!!!!

Had to manually add up monthly numbers, but a tale of two Ultium cars. One thriving, the other dying.
October 1, 2025 at 7:51 PM
Not scientific, and doesn't include every car (I will keep adding), but if you wanted to know whether or not people would rush out to buy EVs before the $7,500 credit went away, I think the answer is clear.

Trump wraps up a speech to military leaders that represented a major escalation of his effort to weaponize the armed forces into a tool he can use to violently quash domestic dissent. Hard to imagine how anyone with a shred of dignity can keep serving after this, which of course is the point.

Because no one buys sports cars (duh), Polestar may now pause the 6 and sell the 7 first. So not even selling them sequentially makes sense anymore! JUST CHANGE THE NAMES!!! You have a new CEO, you don't have to keep doing this.

This makes sense, right?
Polestar 1: PHEV coupe
Polestar 2: Compact sedan
Polestar 3: Midsize SUV
Polestar 4: Compact SUV
Polestar 5: Low sedan
Polestar 6: Convertible
[Reset]
Polestar 7: Back to compact SUV? (Between 4-3 to replace 2)
MAYBE LINEAR NAMES WERE A BAD IDEA?

Here is a hot take: Porsche didn't make the new 911 Turbo S expensive enough! I couldn't even get it to $400,000 on the configurator. What am I, some kind of PEASANT?

@jimfarley.bsky.social, have you ever considered hiring some of these cool Europeans to work for Ford in America?

Me: it has four gears, the last car you had with fewer was when Clinton was president
Rant time: I’m CONSTANTLY told that I’m a coddled millennial who couldn’t live without the internet. But the minute my boomer aunt had to drive a car without a backup camera or blind-spot monitors, you’d think she’d never driven a car before. I manage just fine.

I don’t know if I’m just not “with it” anymore, but I remember liking the DCT in the Hyundai Elantra N more than this manual. The stick is… fine… but it doesn’t wow me. I’d get the DCT. Or… I’d actually get an Ioniq 5 N! (come after me in the comments)

HOT TAKE coming right after Monterey Car Week. Billionaires, STOP starting supercar companies. I have a better idea for you to lose money. Build trains! You can have the poors ride them, which will free the roads for your existing supercars. All you need to do is make them nice. You're welcome!

Ford is doing a "$30,000 electric truck"

A) How much will it ACTUALLY cost?
B) How many miles do you think it will go?
C) Do you want Ranger or Maverick size?
D) What should Ford call it?

Hypercar Holy Trinities:
2000s: Ferrari Enzo, Porsche Carrera GT, Mercedes SLR
2010s: LaFerrari, Porsche 918, McLaren P1
2020s: Ferrari F80, McLaren W1, ???????

What is the 3rd car today? Does this even matter in a world of hyper toys?

I would commit atrocities to own one of these. This is the Wood and Pickett Mini by Callum, design by Ian Callum, possibly the greatest car designer EVER. It has 110 hp, up from just 63. Pricing is about $100,000 grand, meaning I can't have one, which makes me sad.
