@logitechgaming.bsky.social I am incredibly desperate for a suitable replacement for my G600s. I have two of them (one I use for travel) and it is the single best mouse I have ever used. None of the competition has all of the features I need. Please, I am begging you, re-release the G600.

There is a fundamental tension right now between wanting to speak out about what’s happening, and not wanting to paint a target on my back. Between wanting to take action and participate in what’s going on in a big way, and wanting to hide until this blows over.

According to Reddit, saying I hope someone dies peacefully in their sleep of natural causes constitutes a threat of violence.

Guess who that “threat” was against. 🙄

Elon Musk gives me Tommy Wisseau vibes.

The final check against federal power is the states. If the states secede and the union falls, the federal government has no more power.

I think Musk’s goal with infiltrating the government is making contractors scared of losing their jobs.

It’s working.

I hate this timeline.

While the empire falls in disgrace, sometimes it’s all you can do to do your best to live.

So one thing I’ve seen floating around a lot is that using AI is computationally expensive. This is only somewhat true. Most generative AI systems are actually fairly inexpensive algorithms that have been created by computers themselves—programs written by computers with human feedback.

Every day is another example of Trump dismantling the executive branch of the federal government. People don’t realize how much they need something until it’s gone.

This country is fucked.

So anyway, here’s Mona being regal on my PC case.

Well, if the union somehow survives the next four years, I’ll be impressed and surprised. But with Trump in office again, one thing is very clear on the world stage: we are not the leaders we used to be.

2024 was a hard year. There were a lot of good things that happened, and it’s easy to forget that sometimes, but there were also a handful of really bad things. But that’s how life is, sometimes. It can be really hard, and the pain can sometimes outweigh the good.

Alright, I’ve got something to say. Democrats were damn tone-deaf this time around, and the mainstream media did nothing to help them. You wanna know why Trump won? It’s because he was slightly less tone-deaf.

I want to start drawing. I want to make it a hobby and learn how to take the vision in my head and give it form beyond the words I can so deftly craft. I just don’t know where to start.

A declining global population makes a debt-based economy infeasible. Debt is a way of extracting wealth from the future, but if there is no wealth to be had there due to a declining population, and thus declining productivity, then the system we have built for social control will collapse.

With a new social media platform, it’s time to try and decide what I want to do with it. Twitter was my platform for essays (which…it’s Twitter), and had a lot of angst with it. It was an outlet for a lot of upset. I think I’m gonna try to be more positive here.

It’s finally cool enough to wear my bathrobe consistently. Sagan is pleased.
