A recent study tracked body size & multiple fitness components among children aged 6–18. Despite increases in body size, body size–adjusted declines were observed in CRF + reaction time, w/additional age-specific changes across balance, speed, & muscular power.

We begin 2026 with our new Co-Editor in place. Rodrigo S. Reis joins Melody Ding in co-leading the journal. The pair will handle desk-reject decisions for JPAH, which received almost 950 submissions in 2025.

Emerging genetic evidence suggests that physical activity may help lower the risk of sleep disorders. A new study revealed a significant negative association between physical activity and sleep disorders, indicating a potential protective effect.
