I write about stress and health. When one goes up, the other goes down.

It's okay that you are wrestling with difficult times.

It's okay that you are facing difficult thoughts and emotions.

Know that you are strong.

Know that you will get through this.
Have you tried grounding yet?

Focus on the sensation of your bare feet touching the ground.

Close your eyes.

Feel centered and connected to the present moment.

It's how we were meant to live.

It's okay to not be okay.

It's okay to rest.

It's okay to feel sad without trying to fix it immediately.

Healing isn't a project with a deadline.

It's a process with its own timing.

Feeling overwhelmed today?

Sunday is a day of rest, but there is no guarantee that you will enjoy it.

Your breakdown might actually be a breakthrough in disguise.

Sometimes we have to fall apart to make room for who we're becoming.

Loving-kindness practice for hard days

Send love first to someone who is easy to love, and then to yourself:

May I be safe,
may I be peaceful,
may I be kind to myself,
may I accept this moment as it is.

Sometimes we need to borrow someone else's faith in us until we find our own again.

When your nervous system is overwhelmed, a 2-minute breathing technique can convince your brain the crisis is over.

There are several approaches that can work. Try the 4-7-8 technique: inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7, exhale for 8. Repeat 4 times.

Understanding What a Nervous Breakdown Is - A Thread

What Victorian doctors called “nervous exhaustion” and your grandfather called “cracking up” is now recognized as a treatable medical condition — not a character flaw.

Understanding What Stress and Anxiety Are - A Thread

Shakespeare called it “melancholy,” WWI soldiers had “shell shock,” and now we have “burnout” — but the same human struggles have plagued high achievers for centuries.

Today, I am sharing a petition to end ghost job listings, which have eaten up at least a couple hours of my time this year.

Maybe yours too.

If you’ve ever applied, interviewed, and waited, only to discover the role never existed, was already filled, or was posted to “build a candidate pipeline”, then you’ve met a ghost job. Ghost jobs waste time, drain savings, and erode trust. They push people to pay for premium subscriptions and resume rewrites while their applications vanish into a black hole. Meanwhile, resumes get stockpiled, sol

Everyone thinks they have problems.

But what if we don't?

What we really have... might be experiences that we don't understand yet.

An experience is not the same thing as a problem.

Just a thought.

Have a great Saturday.

It's important to have large goals, but most people get hung up on not being able to see the whole path.

You don't need to see the whole path towards your goal.

You just need to see the next step.

What is your next step?

My opinion of olive oil has gone up this week.

Taking olive oil after a meal can reduce both blood glucose and LDL cholesterol.

The subjects in the study linked below were taking 10g of EVOO, which is less than a tablespoon.

Let's address a negative thought you may be struggling with and replace it with a healthier thought.

Have you ever said, "I'm so busy" or, "I'm too busy"?

Those are negative.

The next time that idea pops up, correct it by saying, "I am working on a higher priority right now."

It's less about Monday — and more about feeling unprepared.
