The JFK Library and Museum resumed normal operations after the federal government reinstated five employees who it laid off last month. Admission was temporarily free because the remaining staff was not trained to operate the ticket system.

The Boston Fire Department extinguished a fire Tuesday morning in a Harbor Point apartment building just north of campus. Nobody was injured in the blaze, which caused $20k in damage after it was ignited by a discarded cigarette.

Nominations for the UMass Boston student government election opened Wednesday.

Candidates can declare their bids until 11:45 p.m. March 16 via a form on UMBeInvolved. Referendum questions can be submitted via the same form.
