Interesting to see Government bringing forward legislation to abolish the #LocalGov committee system, instead in favour of the Leader and Cabinet system (and preferring Mayors only for regional government as part of further devolution plans).

Interesting to see Government bringing forward legislation to abolish the #LocalGov committee system, instead in favour of the Leader and Cabinet system (and preferring Mayors only for regional government as part of further devolution plans).

In 2020 just 47% of children felt involved in decisions about their care in hospital.
In 2024 this increased to:
🔹 81% aged 8–11
🔹 87% aged 12–15
Still work to do, but this is a HUGE step in the right direction!
