It’s 2024, can a web developer explain why we still have pages that continually “jump” as if it’s still loading crap elsewhere on the page? Like, can’t you just make a page that lets you read a story without having to find your spot over and over?

Not sure what I’m doing, as usual, but seems like I’m supposed to post photos of cats or sunsets. All I’ve got right now are a few snapshots of Clifton Gorge/John Bryon State Park in Ohio. My happy place.
