I've been a life long Billy Joel fan and only just found out about an earlier band he was in called The Hassles from the soundtrack to a new documentary on him called And So It Goes.

I've been dipping my toes into using background agents with Cursor and over the past couple of days I've gone back and forth on a small feature with it while I had a bunch of non coding tasks fill my days.

I had to nudge it a few times, but I'm liking this use case!

My birthday is in November, BTW. I'll pay for shipping.

Nothing slows down my productivity more than having to hunt down TypeScript types in a library that aren't fully documented (looking at you @payload.dev)

New Cursor merch idea: A t-shirt that just says 'You're absolutely right to question this!'

And another one that says 'Yes! That's exactly the right approach!'

Heck, there's probably a t-shirt subscription model here for 'Things Cursor tells you so you don't rage at it and cancel your paid plan'.

My toxic trait is thinking that as someone who is fluent in German and English, thinking I could just speedrun learning Dutch by reading lists of 100s of Dutch words every day.

My little Bluesky trends tracker is coming along. Using OpenAI's web search tool to get a summary with recent news and links on the topic.

Okay, hear me out: What if you could like someone's like on a social media post?

What if it were likes all the way down??

Would you pay five quatloos a month for an AI service that knows when to tell you 'Dude, this prompt is just not working, take a break and go for a walk!'?

Lukewarm take: A great use of AI in games would be to have shop vendors say completely new but contextual things every time you visit them.

Assassin's Creed players know what I'm talking about!

There are two kinds of people in the world: Those who tell AI what to do and those who ask AI how to do it.

Which one are you?

TFW AI in your editor recommends more code and you're pretty sure it's wrong but there's still that tiny bit of doubt.
