Even with the decision to backpedal on killing Flash, you should still consider other programs if you can. Adobe has shown that they will destroy a program if they feel like it, and that buying into their ecosystem is a losing game.
Macromedia's flash products will still run, and most animation software is accessible through alternative means.
Adobe wants to push their AI functionality and scoop up as much money as they can from people latched to their ecosystem. Do not let Adobe force that into the industry.

One of my possibly more outrageous animations takes is that this is probably one of the best looking western theatrical animated releases ever. Can not think of a lot that looks like this including the sequels to said movie
the looser drawings and slightly more messy lineart with the color palette of this one hold up so good still

It's about to be a really bad time to be an artist which is why you have to complete you projects. The Animate news and state of AI is ready to shut down every project, but if you have the courage to see your projects through to the end I promise it will be worth it.
