No luck seeing the eastern black redstart at Filey between 9-11.30am, of course it turned up when I arrived home! But it’s always a win sketching watercolour outside. Filey bay looking south this morning. Cold compared to recently in a fresh southerly breeze.

Our first swift egg of 2025 laid and discarded. After two years of decline at our swift colony this is a tough watch. But whatever the reason it's fairly common swift behaviour.
