The most valuable data AI companies have now is user inputs - Estimated at 2.5B per day for OpenAI.
In addition to training AI on a huge corpus of knowledge, they'll teach them to predict what the user will ask next.
One day we'll use their service and it will give us a response with no prompt 😀

I feel this weird change in the world like there's a kind of conscious awakening happening. Connecting with new people and sharing ideas.

I find this such a bizarre thing to say if you have literally been told that this is what you need to be doing.
Stealing other people's intellectual property is wrong, corporate laptop or not.
Maybe what they meant to say was 'being asked to steal stuff by the company I work for feels wrong'

Humans do not use algorithms to "generate" language. LLMs are nothing like humans processing and acting on information. LLMs do not "act" on anything.
They predict the next word, phrase, or sentence devoid of understanding. That's it.

Now that foot is in the door, it's not hard to imagine a rule like 'All federal contractors will perform citizenship verification of US residents and mandatory reporting to remain compliant'
