Always a pleasure to attend the Big Green Energy event at The Whitworth in Darley Dale to see some great climate conscious initiatives in the local area. These projects are vital to cut emissions, reduce costs, and build a more sustainable future.

It is disgraceful that Tideswell brook was deemed to be the second most pharmaceutically-polluted river in the UK.

Today I asked the Government to consider requiring sewage treatment works to treat pharmaceutical micropollutants in order to protect our rivers and streams.

(1/2) Thank you to everyone at Nestle, Tutbury, for a thoroughly enjoyable and interesting visit. I was pleased to see Nestle’s focus on sustainability and its strategy to deliver positive environmental outcomes.

It was a pleasure to spend time at Alderwasley Hall School and Sixth Form Centre alongside Olivia Blake MP, Co-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on SEND.

The school does outstanding work supporting young people with Autism and Developmental Language Disorder.

(1/2) Puppy farming is inhumane, causes suffering to dogs and distress for families who unknowingly buy animals raised in cruel conditions.

I am therefore pleased that the Government’s Animal Welfare Strategy commits to ending this appalling practice, and today I called on

(1/2) The Government’s announcement of a consultation to ban social media for under 16s in the UK is welcomed news.

As I explained to Radio Derby, my view is clear: social media is not safe for young people.

NEW: November NHS stats show that waiting lists fell across England by 86,000. That’s the second biggest drop in NHS waiting lists in 15 years.

There's so much more to do - but we're turning round the NHS and getting it back on its feet.

Today, I thanked the Chancellor for lifting the tax-free allowance for APR and BPR.

Over 100 farmers have written to me since the change was announced, telling me the difference that this will make, and I was proud to work with colleagues from the LRRG to help alter this policy.

I spoke to BBC Radio 5 Live about the Government’s changes to Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief.

Food security is national security, and these changes will help protect family farms across Derbyshire Dales.

Very proud to present Derbyshire Dales’ winning Christmas Card to the Speaker of the House of Commons. Congratulations to Alice, age 10, from Fitzherbert CofE Primary School for her ‘Christmas in the countryside’ design. Thank you to all the school children who took part. Merry Christmas everyone!

Our incredible Posties have been working hard delivering letters and parcels being sent before Christmas.

I visited Hatton Delivery Office to say a thank you to those in the sorting office, and for the work they do to ensure that we get cards and gifts in time for Christmas Day.

In November, I asked @leicesterliz to introduce measures to prevent children from viewing nude images.

I am therefore pleased that the Government has committed to make it impossible for children to send nude images, and will ban “nudification tools”.

(1/4) Today, Minette Batters, the former President of the NFU, published her review into the profitability of farming.

The Review makes clear that we must do more to protect our hard-working farmers, with costs for farmers rising by more than 30% since 2020.

This week, I hosted the Campaign for National Parks’ New Perspectives Event in Parliament.

I am glad to be working with the @Campaign4Parks to ensure that young people help shape our National Parks and to ensure they become greener, wilder and more accessible than ever.
