Wall Street soothsayers were too bearish going into this year, so for 2025 they are very optimistic. Collectively they are predicting a 9% gain in the S&P 500 next year. But with valuations near 1999 levels (price/book - P/E) is this optimism from Wall Street priced in?

Goldman's 2025 stock market outlook is out. The firm sees an 11% gain for stocks, fueled entirely by strong earnings growth (no multiple expansion).
Interestingly, the firm sees Trump's potential tax cut cancelled out by likely tariffs, leaving no net benefit to EPS.

-Most Trump trades faded as investors await chances tax cut and tariff plans will be implemented.
