I really enjoyed this John. You have a remarkable talent for painting a picture with words. Lovely story!

2025 Highlights. 3 days in Kyiv. Surreal. Getting the Cuba gig. Adam Summerton mentioning my McTominay book live on TNT when Napoli played Caligari to win the title. Made me spill my wine! A week in Naples for the book launch. Staying really busy. Having over 30 books in Central library. Mad!

Next up... A concoction of both factual and dramatised accounts. Behind the sea of confetti sparkling iike a million diamonds lay so much blood on the ball.

Available Friday.
Moston. Christmas Eve 1979. St Joseph’s cemetery. A freezing cold evening, and the skies are filled with heavy snow. A lone lantern shines in the one small window of the grave diggers hut. Inside are four men huddled around a small gas fire. So we begin...

A Rolls Royce of a footballer. A very happy birthday to the best Manchester United defender I've seen. And has great tastes in books!

Great to have Martinez back for United. He gives us great balance on the left of a 3, can move into midfield with ease and is also a bloody nutter which always help.

"They'll forget all the rubbish when I've gone and they'll remember the football. If only one person thinks I'm the best player in the world, that's good enough for me." George Best. Passed on this day 25 November 2005.

This kid Aitch in the jungle. His gran and my mum are really good mates. He's an absolute belting young fella, and how he looks after his sister Grace, is just typical of him. No airs and Graces, except one who means the world and more to him. Moston eh.❤️

One of my fav pictures. If a book could talk regarding what's gone on with it in the last 20 years, the drama, the near misses, the heartbreak, then Once Upon a Time in Naples would be an Oscar winner! One day...

One of the most iconic, sad, but truly beautiful pictures in the history of Manchester United. Real Madrid in Salford at the grave of Eddie Colman. President Santiago Bernabeu laying flowers. A Tale of Two Cities.
