it's just about that time of year for me to figure out what horror projects I want to take on this spooky season 🎃

completely missed this one in theatres, very interested to see how much of a tone shift it is

Surprising nobody, I loved this.

The visual effects' composition looks fantastic, so glad I didn't skip right to Godzilla vs Mothra.

I love it as this parallel, alternative version of the King Kong narrative.

I thought Nobody 2 was a great, fun-ass time.

Timo Tjahjanto takes the Dad Action Movie to its apex. The vacation setting is so perfect, and sets up for some excellent setpieces.

Odenkirk is so good at this, and all the new cast members join the mix in really fun ways.

🏰 Kingdoms of the Dump 🏰

I've been following @kingdomsofthedump.bsky.social for ages, and the game's finally out next Tuesday 18th November! Of course I had to make a lil tribute piece to celebrate.

It looks like it'll perfectly scratch that retro RPG itch 🔥 🗡️

The sets and laboratory production design in Frankenstein make me so happy

fucking badass!

A pulpy sci-fi novel come to life, with incredible setups and payoffs that had me smiling so hard. So many creatures that I was *thriving*.

Loved so much about it, but Sarah Schachner & Ben Wallfisch's score is an instant franchise icon 🔥

I've set myself the challenge of using this November/National Novel Writing Month to *really* get down into the weeds of my narrative writing.

It mightn't sound like much, but I just got done with ~3 pages of story & world building! The drive is there.

need @realgdt.bsky.social to confirm if the quadruple blunderbuss in Frankenstein was based on something real from history, because this thing rules

I thought I couldn't be surprised by the production design & costuming in GDT's films, but the looks and sounds here bowled me over.

A lush & melancholy adaptation exploring death, creation, science, and the mysteries of life. Really adored del Toro's perspective on the material
Guillermo del Toro is such an icon of mine and a huge creative inspiration, so of course I've been highly anticipating this!!!

Surely one of Yorgos' most existentially tragic projects, thanks to a combination or tight writing and Robbie Ryan's stunning photography that lays everything bare.

Stone, Plemmons, and Delbis are dead-perfect for this material, so much hinges on them working perfectly together.
Always down for a new Lanthimos
