Don’t be fooled by Trump’s rhetoric. Increases tariffs hit your wallet the same as increased taxes.
February 1, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Today, Donald Trump raised taxes on every American. Make no mistake: increased tariffs will raise prices for a wide variety of products we use every day. So much for controlling costs.

Hopefully this suit gets dismissed on a motion to dismiss. Anything else would be a dangerous 1st Amendment precedent. Hopefully the DMR has a stiffer spine than ABC.
Some people will react in horror. But the more idiotic and frivolous suits like these that he brings, the better.

Because he will lose and make an even bigger ass of himself.

His narcissistic and psychopathic compulsion to overreach can actually do some good.

I found this to be a distressing read. The Democratic Party will be non-competitive unless and until it makes a broadbased economic prosperity its top priority. Our appeal needs to be at the household, rather than the interest group, level. www.politico.com/news/2024/12...

Suburban communities, especially more developed ones, should be making walkability a priority. Pays off in reduced congestion and some health benefits. Housing affordability is a big issue though.
Clarendon, a neighborhood in Arlington, Virginia, is a “15-minute neighborhood” — you can walk to whatever you need in 15 minutes or less. Building more such neighborhoods, proponents say, would cut pollution and conserve nature.

But do Americans want them?
Analysis | Why so many Americans prefer sprawl to walkable neighborhoods

Too many people have forgotten what it means to be an American, to live by American values. Some of us are too far gone and will never be back. But today the rest of us should read this - and remember.
