Ainoa mielekäs suunta Suomen talouspolitiikalle on investointivetoinen kasvu, joka laadullisesti toteuttaa kestävyyssiirtymän ja antaa edellytykset strategisen autonomian ylläpitämiseen pidemmällä aikavälillä. Tämä edellyttää uskoa siihen, että kasvu tasapainottaa julkisen talouden, ei sopeutus.

Emme ole siis ajautuneet vain makrotaloudelliseen kriisiin vaan myös syvään makrotaloustieteelliseen kriisiin. Tämä ei olisi voinut tapahtua pahempaan aikaan yhteiskunnallisesti. Geopoliittisten jännitteiden nousu, vaikea turvallisuustilanne, yhteisöjen hajoaminen, demokratian murentuminen.

I'm don't think we should get too excited about this. Eurodollar structure is dollar assets funded by dollar liabilities. If Europe moves to dump dollar assets it's left with ... large dollar liabilities. Not a great position to be in, particularly if access to dollar swap lines is questionable.

Sikäli totta että 90-luvunkaan lamasta ei noustu kotimarkkinoilla kun ne päätettiin murskata ja yrittäjiä moralisoitiin investoinneista kylpylöihin ja muihin kotimarkkinahuvituksiin. Se jää sitten mainitsematta että nousu alkoi vasta kahden devalvaation ja markan kellutuksen myötä.
