Every night, I have a window of opportunity to fall asleep. If someone (ahem, teens) makes too much noise and keeps me up, then my "can't go to sleep" insomnia butts up against my "3am perimenopause" insomnia. Good times, good times.

If someone invites you to something, the very least you can do is respond with even a "let me check my calendar". Anything is better than not even acknowledging the invitation.

Finishing up a paper that needed to be 1,500 words. After editing, I just checked the word count and it's exactly 1,500 words. That somehow feels wrong and right at the same time.

Took us 30 minutes to vote today but I'm hearing some say it took hours in their ridings. Having early voting on a long weekend is a great idea!

I had an awesome doctor but he retired. Then, had an awful doctor for the past 3 years, which came to a head yesterday with horrible treatment of my kid. So I went on a search, lucked out & found a good new doctor who we met this morning. Can't tell you how happy I was to sign those transfer forms.

I hate these airline fake sales. Looked at a flight 4 days ago and it was $810. Looked at the same flight yesterday and it was $810. Looked today and the airline says the flight is eligible for 20% off! Guess what, it's now $1,200!

WTF is wrong with the U S of A? This level of embarrassing behaviour is going to give many a grad student so much material to choose from.
