I feel like I have to keep this pinned on my profile as a kind of apology to the strangers who are getting likes on their cat skeets within seconds of posting them
Unfortunately, this isn't possible with the Bandcamp player iframe, and people don't post enough Soundcloud links to make that viable, either!

Today's Tiny Cool Thing is probably not going to work. The idea is "Radio Bluesky": subscribe to the jetstream, find a Bluesky post containing a song link and play it; when the song's nearly over, grab the next song that's posted and play that.

I use Obsidian for notes, and sometimes I need to take notes that I don't want people to be able to see over my shoulder. So I have this Raycast snippet that adds a div to my notes that hides the text until I select the element. Today I added a fun blur to it.

Seriously. A man in a lifted truck _smiled_ at me _today_ when he floored it to try to get by me when I was already in the crosswalk. I was on the phone, so I wasn't recording a video, but I did have to say out loud "hold on, I might get murdered by someone with their truck."

Seconding this. The only way motorists don't actively try to murder me on Dock St. is if I take my phone out and make it clear that I'm recording video of them speeding up to ignore the flashing crosswalk sign.

I really love iStat Menus for making this stuff observable, but I haven't found any symptoms that are actually actionable!

I honestly have no idea. I have a few guesses, though: I think the handful of Electron apps I leave open all the time slowly hog compressed memory, and I think leaving some Dockerized processes hanging out all the time hogs enough resources to be noticeable

So I wrote a tiny script to measure performance and use `terminal-notifier` to notify me if I should restart my computer, and added a LaunchAgent for it

Today's Tiny Cool Thing: very often my machine will be sluggish and overdue for a restart, but I'll try to power through it anyway, then, after I restart it, I'll be like, "man, I should have restarted my computer hours ago, this is so much better"

bsky.actor.profile (github.com/bluesky-soci...) has a field for pronouns, but Bluesky appears to not use this field out of the box. I've set mine manually, but I don't think this is really visible unless you view my profile record directly. (witchesbutter.us-west.host.bsky.network/xrpc/com.atp...)
