Obscurity is a good place to toil, the best actually.
Proposal: implement comprehensive, no-fee national voter ID. Make it a requirement for voting in national elections, and tie enforcement to reaching an 80% EV adoption rate.

Thinking seriously about migrating my GitHub stuff to Codeberg. You can find/follow my account at codeberg.org/joeld. I have enjoyed GH as a social network of people making cool stuff, maybe more so for that than for the actual git hosting. Hoping for a nice fungal network transition.

A guy filming himself saying "we have breaking news" is not a source. He might have sources, in which case he should provide links.

I’m seeing non-local folks admit to subscribing to the republican-owned Minneapolis Star Tribune. This is not the move. If you want to fund local journalism, Racket MN is writer owned and deserves to grow.

Taking some Xmas afternoon time to share something I’ve been crafting over the holiday. I’ve added a #Typst renderer to Punct, so you can write stuff in #Markdown + #Racket code and easily dual-publish to HTML and PDF from the same sources. joeldueck.com/what-about/p... 🧵

The rare case where I'm driving and need to remember something so I hit the button to trigger voice memo recording on my iPhone. I talk for a minute and only then do I see the app is showing a "are you enjoying the voice memos app/rate this app 1–5 stars" dialog box. The recording is of course gone.
