The UK should prioritise the Chagossians, not cave to Mauritius for diplomatic convenience. Sovereignty shouldn’t be handed over without the direct consent of those actually affected. Backroom deals ignore the people who matter most.

The UK’s relationship with the US matters, but it shouldn’t come at the cost of our own voice or values. Time to stand up for ourselves, rebuild stronger ties with our European neighbours, and stop clinging to a partnership that often feels one-sided.
