Was on Twitter and moved here. Proud of being blocked by slobbering Dan Bongino twice. Proud liberal St. Louisan who likes anything about literature, art and music. MAGA is a cult. Opinions are of my own and not of anything associated with my professions.
Reading Eye of the Bedlam Bride right now. It’s a better book than books 2 & 5. I really hope book 7 is good.

I’m finally done with the Butcher’s Masquerade. Is it just me, or was this book a disappointment for anyone else?
The jokes are getting farther in between and the novelty is wearing off.
I really hope books 6 and 7 pick up better.

If anyone has ever read “A Handmaid’s Tale” or anything about cults, needs to read this book.
It’s an eye opener about a woman that escaped The Children of God cult. I’m on the first 50 pages and I had to stop a few times because the abuse was tough to process.

I am currently struggling with this book. I really enjoyed the two predecessors, which makes this disappointing. I really think expanding the train puzzle to the ENTIRE book was a massive mistake here. #booksky #comedy #DCC #dungeoncrawlercarl #unfunny #boring

I finished this book for a historical book club I joined. It was a tougher read than I expected it to be when it’s also a shorter read than what I was used to.

So, I finally got off my tail to start ACOTAR. This one was a decent read. The riddle answer was just ridiculous though. How did Feyre manage to come up with the answer with virtually no context clues? #ACOTAR #booksky #romance #books #literature

Well the Dungeon Crawler Carl series are certainly interesting and hysterical. Think of Doom meets South Park.

As usual, we are going to be experiencing a massive narcissistic toddler who wants an apology from clergy just giving a sermon.

I just finished Crime and Punishment as a third book this year.
I’m not sure how to feel about this one. It’s a timeless story for sure.

Well, I just learned that Mark Zuckerberg is going to be removing fact checkers from his platform and do community notes instead following Elon Musk’s example from X.
This means I will no longer be on Facebook anymore and will be accessible via Bluesky or TikTok.

Christmas Day double feature:
1. Nosferatu: I absolutely despised this remake. An unnecessary, vulgar and putrid mess that slanders the original production.
2. A Complete Unknown was amazing and Timothy Chalamet’s performance was Oscar worthy.

This movie was horrible. A horrified putrid mess.
I regretted seeing this on Christmas Day.

Ugh, when does this novel start to get better and make any sense?
I’m on page 52 and it’s all just a jumbled mess.
