Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Hand-printing was a very damp affair. Lung-rot was one of the occupational hazards. And boulders.
As late as the 1880s, printers were still twice as likely to die from TB as other trades...
