The Dikuarta Women’s Softball Team is made up of fierce, talented Miskito women from the Northern Caribbean of Nicaragua. They are preparing for next season. These players fund everything themselves — equipment, uniforms, and travel — with support from their families and community.

This morning I colored the Panic Pages with a school full of eager, creative kids This morning, I attended a career fair at the Lotus School for Excellence in Aurora. I was the “writer” career, so my goal was to talk to kids about what real writers do. I ended up settling on book publishing—self-publishing vs. traditional publishing. To keep the kids entertained, I also have a table full of coloring pages from my Panic Pages for Neurodivergent Kids book, crayons and markers. After the event, the table looked like a battleground after war.

On my 45th birthday, I spent time with kids at Lotus Academy, inspiring a new book in my Panic Pages series. I embraced a low-key celebration, reflecting on my journey as a writer and the importance of self-acceptance. Despite life's challenges, I feel blessed and motivated by the kids’ enthusiasm and dreams.

I know, it has been a while since I last updated this blog. It's an honest mistake, I promise. I have been crazy busy trying to figure out how to grow a coloring book business.
