I picked up a little Gollum jade in a 2" pot a few years back, and it is flowering now too. This was from last year.

Some people are not physically able to go out on patrol, but they can stay at home and knit, or post on social media.

Mine has only bloomed for me the last couple of years. It had to get quite big before it started, and it's in a greenhouse because it's too cold (or used to be) outside.

It makes little ridges, which is what I was after, but it's a pain (in the fingers) to knit because it's all done on dpns in the round.

The head needs to be a bit longer, the eyes need a bit of repositioning, the legs need to be a bit bigger, the intercostal grooves should not reach all the way to the dorsal fin, the underside needs a few short rows to fatten it up.

It's the same here in south central Oregon. We've been in the 50s for weeks. Should be in the 30s. Lowest night time temp was 13. Used to be -26.

I started designing an axolotl stuffie back in 2021, shelved it for a few years, then picked it up again last month. Now I have a prototype finished. It still needs a lot of tweaking. For such a simple looking creature it's not a simple pattern! Oh, & my jade plant is flowering. 🌱

Am I on this list? I thought there was no need to be added, but that this feed just picked up anything with the 🐡emoji.

I just finished another Bigfoot Beanie. This one I only knitted because I needed something to do with my hands, so I'll put it in my Etsy store. The pattern is on Ravelry if you want to make one. 🧶 #bigfoot #sasquatch #yeti

It actually gets easier the more you do it, and I can knit almost as fast with 2 colors as I do with one. I took a class on it about 30 years ago, when classes meant going to the yarn store and sitting with other knitters.

Just to make things more complicated, when I do stranded colorwork (as in the axolotl beanie), I knit with 2 or 3 colors at once, with the color in the left hand knitting Continental style, & the color in the right hand knitting English style.
I grew up on English style so it's still my go-to method

Just what i needed after reading the morning news! 😅

Easily fixed - take a knitting class. You'll like it.

No, not at all. It's a completely different technique.

And here is my version....

My Axolotl beanie for #NationalAxolotlDay. I actually didn't know it was axolotl day until today, but it's a good day to be publishing this pattern. 🧶🐸

Your scones look perfect. They were my mothers 'go to' when unexpected guests arrived (and they often did). She could have them in the oven while they were still getting to the front door, and we always had a huge selection of homemade jam to go with them.

I've been concerned about climate change since the 1970s and now I am resigned to the idea that nowhere near enough will be done to mitigate it. In fact, the US is now heading in the opposite direction.
In the meantime I enjoy my garden, though it's hard to enjoy anything in this political climate

And going to get stranger, I'd bet.

I used to be zone 5 but have been upgraded to zone 6 after the last few years of warmer winters. Still, in January it should be below freezing outdoors. At this rate we'll have to go to zone 7 soon.
