After two months, here's my Metal Gear Rex:
Finished snapping together the Kotobukiya Metal Gear Rex this evening. Very unusual construction, but very detailed and sturdy. The plastic has a premium feel vs other sci-fi kits. I’m looking forward to painting this!

Hello again, this final set of photos is of the Tamiya Honda CX500 motorcycle I completed late last year. I really enjoyed this kit, it's very detailed and solid. Interesting facts; the CX500 was turbo powered and also had a drive shaft vs the traditional chain. Very unique.

That's it for this year's Gunpla so far... here are some proper photos the Aoshima Mazda RX-7 I finished earlier this year. The kit itself was interesting, it was an old design from the early 80s and looks to have had an electric motor at some point. This newer release did not include the motor.

This an HG Char's Zaku II (2nd version) that I completed earlier this summer. It's a really nice kit, very similar to the Origin Zakus in construction, but in a classic animation style. I cleaned up the seams and mould lines, painted its weapons and mono-eye & finished with a matte topcoat.

This an HG Char's Zaku II (2nd version) that I completed earlier this summer. It's a really nice kit, very similar to the Origin Zakus in construction, but in a classic animation style. I cleaned up the seams and mould lines, painted its weapons and mono-eye & finished with a matte topcoat.
I also got around to finally putting together and finishing the Beyond Global Gundam as well as the latest HG version of Char's Zaku II (more pictures of that one later). Both are really nice kits, but I was really impressed with the Zaku II and how smoothly it went together.

Here's a kit I put together ages ago, stored in a box and just decided to paint this summer. It's the HG Victory Gundam, a small, but very nicely detailed and articulated kit. I painted this kit the typical V Gundam colour scheme, but used Gaianotes metallic blue for the blue parts.

This is a project from about January-February, it's a HG Gastima from G-Reco. The overall look of this mobile suit is very Gundam-like, but it's original colours were tan and sand-yellow. I borrowed the color scheme/pattern from the Zeta Gundam to give it a more classic look.

Hey, here's that HG Galbaldy B I was working on a few months ago. Again, finished it but never took pictures. Overall I wanted a candy/80s anime-style glossy finish and I think it turned out well.

Here's the next one... Cruise Chaser Blassty, a Moderoid kit based off of a Japanese shooter from the 1980s. I didn't fully paint this kit, rather I cleaned up the seams, added some weathering and chipping and finished it all a flat top coat. I think this a very unique, very 80s real robot design.

I did get around to finishing that Galbaldy Beta, but I’ve also been working on a bunch of other kits since then. I’ve had a lot of energy to build and paint lately, but not enough time to properly photograph it all. I hope to get around to snapping some decent photos soon!

I’ve been carefully gluing this bike together over the weekend. I don’t want to glue too much at once otherwise non-cured parts will fall off 🙃

After two months of slowly painting this kit, I’m finally assembling the Honda CX500. This is my first Tamiya motorcycle and it has been a lot of fun so far 👍
