At #ILPC2025 and disappointed but not surprised to hear the keynote speaker, Fareed Zakaria, using his power, privilege, and platform to engage in the lazy and predictable practice of trying to pit one or more immigrant communities against another.

🙏🏼 Grateful to Congressman @morelle.house.gov and his dedicated team for their consistent advocacy for our #AfghanAllies in New York and beyond.
The Trump administration’s decision to shut down federal programs designed to resettle Afghan nationals who risked their lives to protect American troops is unconscionable.

🚨🔔In just 18 days, Afghan nationals who have relied on Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to live and work in the United States will face the end of that protection and the loss of the employment that has helped them regain agency and allowed them to provide for themselves and their families.
Removing Protected Status for Afghans is No Way to Treat Allies
Contrary to Homeland Security's claims, the situation in Afghanistan has not improved. Deporting allies to Afghanistan is a betrayal.
