Now on my third play through this new one. Oh how The Damned have woven in and out of my life during the past 50 years. This is a great covers album and a fitting farewell to Brian James.

Some of us would say his greatest album….

By this time, I was buying all his records on the day of release. I still remember going home on the bus with this one in a Fox’s Records carrier bag.
Station to Station the tenth studio album by David Bowie was released #OTD 1976 through RCA Records.

Suddenly, punk was dead and post-punk had arrived via this 4-minute burst of guitar driven tension.

‘The place is quiet and so alone
Pretend there's something worth waiting for.
There's nothing nice in my head
The adult world took it all away.
Wake up with the same spit in my mouth.
Cannot tell if it's real or not
I try to walk in a straight line
An imitation of dignity.’
