For anyone to believe otherwise, well, you should probably really think twice about how you have invested your time in watching Star Wars over the years. We know in our little corner of our galaxy these fans fit the very mold of the very people who put so much of our own world into mortal jeopardy. Whether in the US, Europe or elsewhere. This assumption is not that wild of an idea I’m afraid. Just look out your window.

You have to wonder if these fans are the very racists, the very genocidal maniacs, the very brainwashed, the very dim witted, the very stupid, the very power mad, the very rape obsessed, a genocidal, oppressive, fascist regime like the Empire would love to have at all levels of their hierarchy.

We know for a fact that way too many of these so called Star Wars fans exhibit opinions, arguments, and ideologies that are questionable if not down right vile and evil. It’s like the lessons one can learn from Star Wars about standing up to evil and wrong doing, has just fallen on deaf ears.

If any government or military in any existence, anywhere or at any time, would rely on genocide as a key military option to fight a war, you can rest assured, that rape or any form of sexual assault is on the table for them as well.

And it was up to us to either come to terms with these themes and understand them or ignore them. So many of these so called Star Wars fan have definitely decided to ignore these themes, ignore their subtext or shun it altogether or just believe that these themes and their subtext doesn’t exist.

If anything, it was a story with mature and adult themes and sometimes, young children would pick up on these themes and learn from them. Other times, these themes would go over any child’s head. But as all of children grew and revisited Star Wars, these themes became increasingly apparent.

mind you. Star Wars has never been a kids’ story, no matter how George Lucas has tried to spin it over the years. His Star Wars story is a story that is multi-generational and is aimed at ever age group or was marketed as such but it was never, ever a kids’ story.

Then, as I got older, as decades passed, I watched the Empire and it’s agents cut off limbs, kill children, decapitate heads, burn more people alive and commit genocide on a scale never seen in reality all the while watching sex slavery and trafficking unfold on screen and on page.

I think that was the longest opening minute of a period of hockey that I’ve ever seen! This game is like a real version of of the film Slapshot but with the US and Canadian national hockey teams.
