We have TWO WEEKS to get 7k Australian 🇦🇺 signatures on this official parliamentary petition to deal with the insanity of street lighting and light pollution. Please add yours mates. Or you know, (pictured). www.aph.gov.au/e-petitions/...

This is the first properly planned broadband image I've produced with my newt, and I absolutely love the star colors it can produce!

The dark Bortle 1 skies of Australia allow my hyperbolic newtonian to capture dust in the Corona Australia molecular cloud.

3D printed a Tri-Bhatonov mask for my 13028HNT.

The OCAL is great, but nothing beats the gold standard star test! Glad the OCAL can be trusted.

Secondary Dew is no more!

This thing gets surprisingly hot.

Fighting Dragons of Ara

This image was taken over 4 nights, and totals in 794 60sec images. This is the third deep sky image I’ve taken with my new SharpStar 130HNT f2.8 telescope after dialing in collimation. Overall I’m quite happy with the image. The stack took 13 hrs and used 500gb of disk!

NGC 5139

This is my first globular cluster, and my first image with a well collimated 13028HNT!

The target was mainly chosen because I wanted to do a star field test and this was in a good location in the sky.

Carina Nebula!

This is 4.51hrs of data with my new SharpStar 13028HNT telescope, and Askar D1 and D2 filters!

The Ha and Oiii channels had plenty of signal, but the Sii signal was very weak.

This was also the first time I've done any imaging in a Bortle zone higher than 4.

Attempted to use my eyeballs for the first time last night! They were quite ineffective 😅 Askar D2 Ha Oiii filter made a big difference though!
