To celebrate the release of Don’t Mess With Grandma on Tubi (Sunset Superman), and commentaries aren't really a thing anymore, I thought I would do a long-form thread of annotations. This was a long time coming, and I'm incredibly proud and grateful for the cast and crew! youtu.be/5m0q3khyGZ8

Rewatched SMILE 2 (2024).

Builds on the core conceit from the first one and elevates the horror. This thing is packed with terrifying imagery and oozes dread. The whole thing has this rancid cursed energy juxtaposed against the glitz and glam of pop stardom. Love it.

If we’re going to endlessly remake movies anyway, why are we only remaking the 1st movie of a series? I would love a stand alone remake of Rocky 4, Death Wish 3 or Friday the 13th : Part 7!
