I do engineering & growth things at https://hathora.dev
I make my own games at https://gomobo.app
My writing about tech: https://smalltechbusiness.com
But it’s named reddit, not greennit!

Awesome. Thanks for sharing your quick reviews, will be adding this to my list of games to try!

My partner uses FB for 2 online communities:

- Our local Buy Nothing group -> best way to give away stuff we don't need (it's better than just donating to Goodwill b/c each item is finding someone that wants it)
- One of her hobbies is nail art, and there's a great FB group for that community

Totally agree! I try to buy most of my board games from my local board game store. Even though it's often a bit more expensive than online, I always have a great time talking to the owner and getting new game recommendations.

✅ Indie founders are always looking for help acquiring users
✅ Business model could be straightforward (small % of sales, maybe a one-time per bundle fee)
✅ Directly benefits your creator community you have built online

🛑 Complexity around being a broker for revenue sharing/tracking

Here's a business idea that I think you'd be a good fit for (given your huge indie founder following):

A tool that allows indie founders to easily bundle their products together and fairly split revenue.

Bundling products that target the same customers, but don't overlap many features

Ah man I’m sure I played that game too. I think it might be Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed?

Thanks :) First project was a small iOS app that I launched my last year in college, gave a live demo of it to an interviewer to land my first software job offer!

Super validating to see you say this! I've been using my side projects as a way to learn non-software skills for close to a decade now.

My current full-time role now is a lot more BD/Sales than it is engineering.

I oscillate between polite and just typing in a jumble of keywords like I do for google searches, depends on my question I think haha

Would love to hear your favorite examples of businesses with a good mix!

At a certain point it becomes okay to say “No thank you” to customers that are too price sensitive. It often just means that your current value prop isn’t well aligned for them
