No more X / Twitter for me, I’ve deactivated my account this morning. The volume of right wing poison on there is jaw-dropping, and totally beyond the pale. I’m mainly over on Instagram, if you want to follow me there (@jjohnstonmezzo).

Some news: I’m delighted to be singing the role of Jezibaba in a concert staging of Dvořák’s Rusalka w Domingo Hindoyan & @liverpoolphil.bsky.social, with Sonya Yoncheva in the title role, PLUS this is also the 1st in a series of operas in concert for which I am Creative Producer for the RLPO.

Very much looking forward to making my debut at the Norwegian National Opera at the start of next season, conducted by Ed Gardner, in a role and opera I have long wanted to perform: JEZIBABA in Dvořák’s masterpiece Rusalka 🧙🏻🧜🏻‍♀️🔮

Over the past 2 years, I’ve introduced a new strategy, Transported By Culture, to the London Transport Museum, 1 major thread of which is Music In The Museum, bringing live music & musicians into the building via both public and private events. 🧵
