so well said, & we need to resist the cultural norm that urges juniors to be endlessly deferential and accommodating. you deserve to be listened to & respected as much as anyone. in the immortal words of the seattle garages (blaseball): "no one you look up to is better than you are"

idk why so many gamedevs are posting about placeholder text rn but i will share the tip from publishing that our industry doesn’t use nearly enough: typing “tk” (shorthand for “to come”) in places where text is not final makes it quick & easy to locate in any searchable documents
