Technically the first recorded steel coaster opened in 1928 in Italy but the most famous is the #Matterhorn. Pre digital the track physics was a guess resulting in brakes and boosters being added. More about this on YouTube.com/jimhshull

The trees and water are real but behind the hand crafted rock-work is a concrete retaining wall, all in a former 100 acre parking that was covered in asphalt. How #Disneyland was/is built is interesting.

#Garaland is a great mid size park along Lake Gara in Italy. This first of a kind S&S rides coaster featured a ‘fall off the edge’ moment. Actually several of those moments. Still fun. Experienced during a Disney trip. More about roller coasters on YouTube.com/jimhshull

Watching #Disneyland-handcrafted again unlined the grim reality about how close #Disneyland came to failure. Nothing before came close to the vision of what Walt and the first #Imagineers wanted to create. Amazing much see video.

I’d tell family my job was to move dirt with ideas. Others did too and there are examples such as the #UniversalCity sign. It moved several times. #Universal & #DisneyParks are different but both move dirt. More on YouTube.com/jimhshull
