What's painful about the Clase leave is that we are left with a lot of really bad option. It seems as though regardless, there's going to be a suspension, and it could be and likely is for life. If he isn't, he submarined a likely trade at the deadline, and dampened his value in an potential deal.

The #Guardians mired with two pitchers likely facing lifetime bans, one was acquired with a major chip, the other a major chip in this deadline. This after the team reached the ALCS and basically did nothing to get better, and has prospects injured at every corner. Today? Facing a sell. #Cleveland

Just the worst. A small market team who runs itself as conservatively poor as possible, has a run of draft picks underperform and injured, has a guy they dealt the best defender in baseball for-ish, and their closer who was likely to be traded…a year after the ALCS. Everything’s fine…

Jose Ramirez is a special baseball player. It's a freakin' travesty that this front office hasn't put a team together behind him to sustain his run. They'll NEVER have a hall of famer sign a long term deal here at a home town discount. It'll never happen again. And what do they do? Nothing.

The one in which Knott, Underwood, and Manning talk about the rules in Tampa, and how a ball that hits the roof is in play...even though they aren't playing in Tropicana right now, or maybe ever again. I get it...that USED to be the rule, but to just not address it because they forgot or don't know?

Jason Kipnis fWAR in 2012 & 2013-8.5

Rick Manning career fWAR-6.6

Hire Kipnis…more recent player. More impactful player…and if his minor league ethic is any indication, he’ll put in the work. Overhaul the booth. It’s time, and Cayleigh Griffin has been knocking it out of the park!!!

.@cleguardians.com @mlb.com Hey Guardians...any news on the cable deal? I live in Erie and just curious if we're going to have something in our cable package or if you're going to force us to buy your games...which would truly be unfortunate. Can you just announce already?

Preller talking to fans...at fanfest...about adding players.

Which "one" of these things are the #guardians not doing?

I know...I know...SHUT UP AND BE HAPPY, WE ALMOST MADE IT TO THE SERIES!!!!!!

We didn't...and haven't in most of our lifetimes...so...yeah...

I do like the #guardians roster this year. They did a lot last year with minimal offensive production. If they use the roster correctly, there's upside across the board. So much depends on their bullpen. What are the chances it's as good as it was...and the rotation is still...suspect.

The Guardians won't probably do anything more this offseason, and they've arguably not done anything to improve the team from last year...and I sit here hoping for a pilfering...someone that makes it through without getting money so we can get them on a one or two year deal...

One of the best baseball writers in the business, Travis Sawchik, put out a great piece about the Dodgers making a mockery of the baseball financial imbalance. It's one of the best offseason reads, and gives a blueprint on how to fix it. They won't, but they should...

the #Cavs and Kenny Atkinson playing Jaylon Tyson today has been fun. I know there's need to shift out minutes, but I have to believe that there's a bigger reason here. They are either seeing what they have to preclude a trade, or shopping wares. Either way, the kid can play...and great defense...

Bibee noticing the finger separation on his cutter is pretty awesome. Nice job Rob, as always. Great interview. Loved the discussion on the sweeper, and his first time throwing it against Seattle. Great conversation!
All of Tanner Bibee's pitch grips are here (Fastball, Sinker, Cutter, Sweeper, Curveball, Changeup)

Last year, if Donovan Mitchell plays like he did tonight against OKC, the #Cavs get rolled? This year, it comes in waves.

I don't know where this #NBA season goes, but watching the #Cavs and #OKC go toe-to-toe as the two best teams in the league while the NBA powers are out in the cold watching is pretty damn fun.

Hogan getting booed out of Los Angeles may be the best part of a pretty incredible first edition of RAW on Netflix. Can't imagine WWE doesn't edit this out at some point. What a train wreck.
Maculay Culkin got a bigger pop than Hulk Hogan

Teams like the Guardians have to be creative to retool, but it seems weird to erase two major players from their ALCS team with a generational talent in Jose Ramirez on the team. Most teams would add talent to take the next step. So far, the Guards are erasing payroll for modest immediate returns.

I like Gimenez, but was hoping he could be a part of a deal that could make the team better. Instead, he’s clearly moved to free them up of cash that THEY offered him in an extension. It’ll probably work out in the long run with other moves, but I just hate that it has to be dominoes…

I’ve entered the Cleveland Guardians phase of my fandom where doing mental gymnastics to like a trade is starting to get old. It would be nice if I could just love a trade, and not have to enjoy it as some sort of chess move.

Losing to ❌🖕🏻ch🖕🏻gan means you reap what you sow. Had they handled their business, this wouldn’t be a thing. However, ranking them behind Penn State is a joke.

Is it possible to be equally excited at the prospect of the Guardians unlocking some random new player or two, while also being disgusted that this is likely all I have to look forward to this offseason?
