The word masterpiece is used too often. Here is an example of a genuine masterpiece, and the phrase “taken too soon” never more appropriate than for describing Kevin Gilbert.

I’m very late to the party, but I’m really enjoying The Expanse. Nearing the end of season 3! Jeez, this is top tier hard sci-fi. I’m so impressed with the whole thing: the world building, characters, the factions, the politics, the scale, the story. Really, highly recommended.
