A couple more from Friday. This is the shelter, known as Sandy’s Seat, which is used to home the stalkers ponies during the deer stalking season. Located at 700m it sits below the summit of Broad Cairn, 998m, which can be seen in the distance #Cairngorms #Scotland

Alpine conditions today in The Cairngorms with I ncreasing northerly winds as the day went on. Firm underfoot from ~600m and crampons the order of the day from ~750M. Loch Muick and Broad Cairn.

The Met Office weather station in Aberdeen hasn’t recorded any sunlight since the 21st of January - the longest period since records began in 1957. The locals are still alive and kicking however 😀 #Aberdeenshire #Scotland
