@techconnectify.bsky.social watched your renewable energy self-therapy session on connextras. Enjoyed it. The camera being closer makes for a more personal video. The slightly downward angle I think might be somewhat belittling to yourself. Probably splitting hairs. It's subtle. But it's there.

Hell, where are the actual investigations? So far we've only seen screenshots. Where are the reports by forensic accountants? Where is any transparency into this process at all? - Of course, we know the answer to these questions. And it breaks my heart to have family who cheer for it.

The #Apple tax sucks, but it somewhat balances out. Just sold my 2021 MacBook Pro for 42% of the original purchase price. Certainly helps that the M1 Max is still a powerhouse.

In #OldSanJuan, how old are those cobblestones? Tourist sites talk about rocks used as ballast on old ships and metal working slag, but it seems those bricks are long gone. This article suggests they were replaced in the early 20th century with artificially weathered bricks.
Colony of Cobblestone
The blue cobblestones of Old San Juan look nice on a postcard, but they also tell a long history of exploitation.

And this is why being a hacker and being a security engineer are two very different things.
Scoop: The DOGE website that Elon Musk spun up to track cuts to the federal government is insecure and pulls from a database that can be edited by anyone. So, someone did.

What struck me about #DeepImpact was how when the mission was an apparent failure and the world was going to end in a day or two, people are still commuting to work. Like, how? I'm watching my country implode and it's hard enough to keep focus on much of anything.

Is that laid out in the EoB? Is the dentist going to try to adjudicate it? Really messed up.

Well, that sucks. Grateful a #Lidl is nearest. Sad to see all these companies drop diversity as a "core value" the moment they see shifting clouds. Goes to show that such things don't really exist.
Aldi quietly scrubbed its careers website of all DE&I initiatives
According to one employee on Reddit, information on Aldi’s DE&I efforts is now only visible on the company’s internal employee website/portal.

#Google #Gemini is a great and helpful LLM, but god I wish there was a variable "Patronization" level. Every question I ask has a response starting with "You're on the right track---", "You're right to consider---", "You're right to focus on---", "Good point!---". Take off the kid gloves, please.

Whenever #Trump blames something on #DEI, I can only hear him saying "The problem was we hired women and colored people." I mean, really, what else could he be saying?

It was Trump's first press conference after a plane carrying 60 passengers and four crew members collided with an Army helicopter.

I am really confused. I keep reading the Ollama DeepSeek R1 models are just a Llama variant fine-tuned on DeepSeek output. Is the 671b version the actual released weights?

Reminds me of another use of the Rubicon. I feel like my MAGA aunt is so desperate to defend Trump because she's so far beyond the point of no return. If she was wrong, the emotional toll is too great to acknowledge. I think the right intentionally pushes people to that, so they can't turn back.

I should have known better than to trust a freeport Fortizar in #EveOnline. Thankfully I was moving an empty Ark and can eat the loss without much fuss. Decided to just eject and let them have it rather than embarrass myself with the killmail.

For the life of me, I want a USB sound card that outputs 5.1 over optical. But it seems like it's a product that doesn't exist. Why is Dolby Digital Live only available in PCIe cards?
