The academic job market is nerve-wracking for many reasons but I gotta tell you what’s worse is the waiting. Especially when the vibes were good 😭

I very much talk with my hands and it’s FOR the people I am talking to, not for me. How do I know this? If I’m on a video call I put the hand gestures closer to my face so they can still be seen 😭🙃 what IS that?!

What if they just periodically had to sit in their office closets while someone simulated being a shooter in the corridor, like my grade school children do?
I wish I could tell my Oura ring that we have a baby, and my poor sleep score is not due to afternoon caffeine but a midnight gremlin 😭

I thoroughly appreciate that the Denver International airport has a lactation room in each concourse, but there are only the three. The one in mine has been busy even though I have myself a 45 min buffer. There should be a lactation space per bathroom location at all travel sites.

I give 5 stars literally each time I uber unless I am made to feel unsafe due to the driving, etc. At work we’ve been talking about how there is a really big gap between a 4 star review for events (my industry) and a 5 star review. Does your mentality about a star rating vary a lot by context?
