I don’t think dynamic pricing is a bad thing per se and it can make markets more efficient.

But it’s legitimate for the CMA to investigate if this is being done in a transparent way for consumers.

If Live Nation/Ticketmaster have significant monopolistic power that’s also a legitimate concern.

Private housebuilding should eventually rise again (with the usual lags) as mortgage rates fall, but this story is a reminder that Labour is unlikely to get close to its targets without increased public investment in housing.

Planning reform is needed but is unlikely to be enough on its own.

It’s an irony that Labour is taking a lot of political flak for the relatively small savings from means testing the winter fuel allowance, while also committing much larger sums in the long run to maintaining the triple lock.
