この9R42Jは6BE6のプロダクト検波回路と、9R59Dの回路の多くを組み込まれた改造品。7MHz SSBも良い音で復調される。が、カソードタップドハートレーの局発が周波数ドリフトしてしまう。これを解決するためには7.455～7.655MHzをカバーする外付けVFOを使えるようにするしかない。

9R42Jで聴く日本短波放送（ラジオNIKKEI）。49メーターバンド。高1中2はとても高感度。

9R42J用外付けVFOの回路としては6RR8を使うバッカー回路が良さそうだ。

2016年にジャンク状態で入手したトリオ9R42Jの調整と手直しを1月から行い、トラッキングも取れて周波数直読にした。7MHzでは周波数のドリフトがあるので外付けVFOを使えるように改造したい所。

520の減速機構に付けるツマミが届いた。オクで勝った関連パーツが一つずつ届く。
