I was very sad to learn of the death of Brent McLachlan. Recording engineer who recorded Brian Chase playing drums for the new Foetus album HALT at his 30 Below studio, among other sessions we did. He was also drummer of NZ bands The Gordons, Skeptics and Bailterspace. Rest in Power Brent, miss you.

My old pal Jacob Kirkegaard was in NYC and we got to hang yesterday at my studio in Brooklyn. I met Jacob in Copenhagen in 2003 at the first freq_out sound installation project, curated by CM Von Hausswolff. We have since had adventures all over the world.

Thanks to everyone who came to the JG Thirlwell concert live-scoring Harry Smith's Heaven and Earth Magic at Tinker St Cinema in Woodstock NY on Saturday night. Harry Smith's ashes were buried in the Woodstock Artist's Cemetery in June 2025, so I got to visit his gravestone while I was up there.
