I’m not a historian, so can someone tell me: is this Trump’s Reichstag fire?

Legal ethics scholars: Is anybody interested in a conversation among about how we can teach legal ethics in the context of the current lawless administration? Has anybody tried anything that worked in the classroom? Is it possible to talk about these issues without discussing politics?

Rep. Lauren Boebert wants to remove Columbia from the name of Washington D.C. It was named "Columbia" after Christopher Columbus. When did Boebert get so woke?

How are all the law professors still acting like the rule of law is a thing that exists?

I feel like I’m having a professional identity crisis this week. Like what is legal scholarship supposed to be about, how do we reward it or criticize bad work, and what the hell am I doing with my career?

I am so tired of the Democrats begging for money without a hint of an idea for change.

Best movie action sequences: (1) all of John Wick 4; (2) the sword fight between Inigo Montoya and The Dread Pirate Roberts; (3) every other action sequence.

I gotta say I've been trying to follow Bluesky for weeks and I can't make any sense of it. Posts without referents so I don't know what they're talking about; too many threads going on at the same time; from my view, complete chaos. What's the secret?

I'm not a scholar of white supremacist movements--I'm a humble legal ethics prof--but I worry what the outcome will be after Jan 6 rioters have been locked up in prison for a few years with the Aryan Brotherhood?

Please support striking workers in the way they’ve asked for. Instead of a viewer boycott, which they haven’t asked for, can you commit to donating to the strike fund, which they have? Maybe an amount equal to what you pay for streaming each month, for even one of the streamers, if not all?
I think we should be talking about a viewer's strike right now. Cut off the streaming services at least, until an agreement is reached with WGA and SAG. Maybe no movies as well? What do you think?

“[T]hey’re already using ChatGPT to generate complex contracts. I think the legal field is in a lot of trouble." Or boom times are coming for litigators.

One reason "why" is because the COVID vaccine showed the immense power of years-long government investment into academic scientific research. The tech bros simply could not square that fact with their rigid libertarian ideology; it broke their brains so badly they became antivax.
