I hit an unexpected milestone in my Letterboxd stats. It's been a year since I went a week without logging some kind of film. I only really thought of my film viewing as ramping up in December of 2024, but I guess I was being consistent prior to that.

It’s incredible what you can accomplish when you’re on a roll. It’s disheartening how difficult it is when you’re not.

I started working my way through a DVD of Paramount comedy shorts in pre-Code era. A lot of them fix a camera to a point and watch two people in medium shot go through the most stilted vaudeville routine you've ever seen.

Replaying Borderlands 2 (one of my all-time favorite games) and I’m running into the same issue I run into every time — after Control Core Angel, I’m not as engaged. I have this issue with a lot of games, where they make it so big and I want a tighter narrative experience.
