one of the first things I ever learned to sew was a simple 9 square quilt with my grandma, who was a quilter and artist. it's been fun to return to this time-honored craft and meld it with another in this latest collection of hand bound journals.

New art. Let’s see how it goes on Instagram. It’s hard when pieces don’t favor well with comments and likes. I hate that it affects me. I hate that I spend hours on something and can’t just be proud of it and leave it at that.

While having this nice of weather this early in February is not the norm, even here in the South, I am taking full advantage of being able to get the studio outside to soak in the sun. hoping to bring out so many new handbound journals for the cottontown art crawl happening March 8th.
